Between 1775 and 1796 over 200,000 pioneers traveled to Kentucky over the famous Wilderness Road which runs through Levi Jackson State Park in London. Visitors to the park will find plenty to see and do. Mountain Life Museum which is a pioneer settlement and has Indian artifacts-Open April through October. McHargue's Mill is a restored stone water-powered grist mill. Includes one of the world's largest collections of millstones. Called the "Niagra of the South." 150 feet wide with a 67 foot drop, this falls in largest east of the Rockies and south of Niagara. On a clear night under a full moon, the falls displays the only known "MOONBOW" in the Western Hemisphere. Other park features are fishing, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, picnic shelters and much more. Southwest of Corbin, KY 90, off I-75. 23 Miles from hotel.
